February 23, 2012 – The Free Clinic of Franklin County recently received a certificate in recognition of over $2 million in free prescription medications for its low-income, uninsured patients through participation with the statewide nonprofit Rx Partnership (RxP). RxP is a public/private partnership organization that provides access to free prescription medications for Virginia’s eligible uninsured through free clinic and community health center partners throughout the state.
“We at Rx Partnership are pleased to recognize the outstanding work of the Free Clinic of Franklin County that has resulted in such a substantial and effective distribution of donated medication to patients in need,” said Yarcich. “It is especially critical during these difficult economic times that free clinics and community health centers form partnerships and use their resources effectively in order to provide health care to the increasing number of people in Virginia who are finding themselves without health insurance for the first time.”
On Saturday, April 14, 2012, folks will have the opportunity to bring their family and friends to see the spring Clinic Classic Horse Show at Spring Valley Farm in Moneta. The show will feature 50 competitive classes for both adults and children. The semi-annual horse show marks our BIG fundraising effort for the year.
